Spring Break and Makenzie's birthday

Spring Break just isn't the same with a kid in a cast all the way up her leg. We have been home all week. I have been very busy trying to entertain a 10 year old who wants more than anything to go outside and run around. We have done a couple of craft projects, baked three cakes and practiced decorating them with fondant, played some games, and watched tv. Makenzie's birthday is today. She is 14. It makes me feel old. She reminded me that she would be able to get her driver's permit next year. I definitely am not ready for that since she ran the lawnmower into a tree last year. Since Makayla and I were stuck in the house, we made Makenzie a zebra striped cake. I still need more practice with fondant but it was fun. Makayla goes back to the doctor a week from tomorrow to find out if she will need pins in her ankle. Please pray that she doesn't. She is ready to get back on her feet and get rid of the crutches. Monty has not been feeling well this week. He has a sinus infection and is more tired than normal. Please pray that he continues to regain his strength and energy.
